On June 24, Hubei Agricultural Expo Jingzhou High-quality Agricultural Products Week officially kicked off. It was planned by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hubei Province and organized by Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. On the same day, Wushang Group and other enterprises in Jingzhou signed contracts with more than 20 companies with the intention of settling in Jingzhou, with online and offline sales reaching nearly RMB 60,000.
The event was attended by Zeng Deyun, member of the Leading Party Members Group and Chief Economist of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hubei Province, and Liu Huiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor.
A total of 68 enterprises in Jingzhou City were organized to exhibit over 260 high-quality specialty agricultural products in the event for sale. The 7-day campaign consisted of a number of activities on different themes: Honghu City’s “Lotus Root from Beautiful Honghu” on June 25, Jianli City’s “Fragrance Smell of Jianghan Rice in Every Home” on June 26, Songzi City’s “Songzi Chu-Styled Native Chicken” on June 27, Gong’an County’s “Tasteful Beef from Gong’an” on June 28, Jiangling County’s “Travel Far to Taste Delicacies in the Hometown of Cranes” on June 29, and Shishou City’s “Ecological Agricultural Products from Shishou” on June 30. These activities jointly presented a grand feast of high-quality agricultural products from Jingzhou to the citizens of Wuhan.
The week campaign lasted from June 24 to 30 on the theme of “Chu-Styled Delicacies in Jingzhou”. During the event, 8 special booths were set up on the second floor of the Hubei Agricultural Expo Hall to display well-known dishes and high-quality ingredients such as Jingzhou Fish Cake, Honghu Lotus Root, Honghu Water Hairy Crab, Shashi Xiaohu Duck, Jingsha Snakehead Fish, Songzi Native Chicken, Gong’an Beef, Shishou Penholder-Shaped Fish Belly, and Jianli Crayfish. A series of concurrent activities of various forms were also held to further expand the influence of the regional public brand “Jingzhou Taste”. They included products introduction meetings, free tasting of specialty foods, online celebrity livestreaming, concessional sales of special agricultural products, and one-to-one product selection and contract signing by enterprises.
